I was born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and have been a balletomane since I was 14. My favourite ballet is “Swan Lake” and it was through Tchaikovsky’s marvellous score that I first developed my love for ballet and classical music. I studied GCSE and A Level Dance and Music at St Louise’s Comprehensive College in Belfast and I took ballet classes outside of school and during these four years, I developed an interest in ballet history, especially the stories behind Petipa’s ballets.
I studied BA Creative Writing at London South Bank University, graduating in July 2012 and I later studied MA Ballet Studies at the University of Roehampton in South-west London, graduating in July 2016.
